3D DESIGN

NIXELELE

My first ever 3D Design project was based on choosing and translating lyrics of an assigned song and applying the translation on to a ukulele. My song was Wild in the Streets by Garland Jeffreys and my chosen lyrics were:

“With your newspaper writers,
and your big crime fighters”

Using aged New York Times articles from Nixon’s time in office and a strong adhesive, my goal for this project was to teach my viewers something about what was happening in 1972. Watergate, The War, Cambodia..the list goes on and on...

WARBOARD

My second project was to create a chess board. I decided to create a “miliatarian” board
featuring US and Russian soldiers due to the rising tension between the nations. I created
this board using a multitude of materials inlcuding; wood, turf, concrete, spraypaint,
acryllics, & distorted toy soldiers using a heat gun.

HUT-HUT-LUNCH!

A redesign of a kid’s lunchbox. Leather & a Zipper.

I’M HAVING A (GUM)BALL

A dress made to celebrate National Bubblegum Day using
real gumballs and gumball machine parts.

TAKE A MINUTE

Exactly what it sounds like, designed for the busy ones to take a break, wherever they are.

A HARD GUITAR’S A-GONNA FALL

For this assignment I was tasked to translate the infamous 1962 Bob Dylan classic, A Hard Rain’s A‐Gonna Fall. Using original footage from the song’s first performance and a projector, I created a cloud using clear acrylic and a laser cutter to display it, with the strings pierced through to emulate the rainfall, acco

I was fortunate enough to display my work at the
Spring 2025 Design and Advertising Show at SVA.
